Great Lukasz,

Your hardware is similar to what we are planning on using.

We have 10:1 Micro Metal Gearmotors (hp),

The motor driver is stand alone, but probably similar to what is on the ardubot board.

Same reflectance array, same wheels (we have encoders as well).

So I suggest we meet Saturady at 2pm at the Science gallery cafe, (it might be a little early to start drinking alcohol).

As a brief plan…

  • Introduce ourselfs (probablty the most important)
  • Make final decisions on the hardware specifications (power, connectors, processor)
  • Try to split up the work amongst us.
  • Plan deadlines for getting stages of the project done (Hardware design, Software design, testing/tweeking)
  • Talk about possible stategies for the competition
  • Team/robot name
  • Anything else

This could take an hour or two and maybe a good idea to bring along any hardware you have you think useful, so we can all see it and discuss it.

It might also be possible to get some studio space in the science gallery to work on construction for a while after if we bring our own tools. I'm not sure if this is necessary at this stage, but could be useful in the future also.

Hello…,

For me time is fine (Saturday 2pm )…

the motor driver I use  H-Bridge Motor Driver 1A but for this bord we can use  L293 as well …

I have encoders for this wheels but I think we do not need this for LineFollower … (but we will see)…

  • Jiri
  • Lukasz
  • Conor68
  • Winampis

Go Team!

I'll blog updates on the homepage of the site. When we are finished, it is planned that we will document the whole build process and put it up on the site.

No known relation. Perhaps a distant cousin - greyhound or terrier perhaps? Thanks for the tee-shirt link. Unfortunatly they only have them in men, women, and child sizes – not uncommon to find such cynophobic tendencies, particularly where robots are concerned. We don't have a great history of peace you know.

Perhaps you could use a tester to assess the durability of your sumo robot? I can't gaurantee the thing won't be eaten but all the same let me know if I can be of some assistance -

Regards,

L.

Ps. appreciate if you kept this post quite from the breadwinner…. given the history between my kind and robots…. she worries.
