Hi guys,

I would have some ideas for next workshop

I don't know how all you here are experienced in robotics/electronics/programming,

but my suggestion is to continue with the idea of "Soldering workshop"

For those of you who are quite novice in robotics, but want to start from the scratch, what about starting our next workshop developing some simple robot together?

In case if here are just people who has developed some robots, we could define some topics which would interested most of us, or where you can contribute with your experience.

I myself can offer solid knowledge of programming AVR and ARM microprocessors an good knowledge of C and C++ programming.

I have been building a sumo robot for the robochallenge competition using the mark III chasis  (http://www.junun.org/MarkIII/I…..jsp?item=2). It is good, soild and cheap. I think I will run a Sumo building workshop based on this in late march just after the competition.

It wil involve

  •  putting together of the chassis
  • Modifiing of servos
  • Simple electronics and programming.

At the end we can fight the robots against each other!

I'd love to learn more about how sensors on robots and the programs work.

Yeah that will be the general idea.

learn to read digital inputs like switches

and analog sensors like sharp distance sensors

control motors etc…

The basics so people can then expand how ever they wish.
